Mojisola Awesu, a 21-year-old student from the Kwara State College of Health Technology, has been found dead at a refuse dump in Ilorin. Awesu had been reported missing after agreeing to act as a girlfriend for a private university student at a party for N15,000.

The Kwara Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed that Awesu’s body was discovered on August 12, in the Aleniboro area of Ilorin. A missing persons report was filed the following day by Miss Blessing, who identified herself as Awesu’s roommate.

According to DSP Ejire-Adeyemi, Awesu received a phone call on August 9 from Miss Timileyin about an event organized by students from Summit University and Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin. Timileyin introduced Awesu to Mr. Adebayo Happiness, a Summit University student, who reportedly hired her to act as his girlfriend at a party for N15,000.

Awesu expressed discomfort about her lodging and mentioned that there was no party at the location. Shortly after, her phone was turned off, and attempts by her roommate to reach her were unsuccessful.

Several suspects have been arrested in connection with the case and are currently under investigation.
