Motorists traveling along the Kano-Maiduguri expressway have been stranded after heavy rains caused significant flooding, washing away a section of the road. The damage occurred between Malori and Guskuri Villages in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, visited the affected area on Thursday, August 8, and highlighted the urgent need for federal intervention to repair the damaged road. He stressed that immediate action is crucial to prevent potential accidents and alleviate the difficulties faced by travelers.

Governor Mohammed stated, “We will inform the Federal Government about the washed-away portion of the Azare to Bulkachuwa dual carriageway. If they fail to respond promptly, we will address the situation ourselves.”
