In a powerful testimony of faith, resilience, and love, 58-year-old Pastor Funmilola Abraham, a Regional Overseer at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has celebrated the birth of her long-awaited twin children after 24 years of childlessness.

Pastor Funmilola, who got married on March 31, 2001, shared her remarkable journey in an interview with The Punch, revealing the emotional and spiritual battles she faced while waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.

“I was 57 when I gave birth to my children, and now I’m 58,”she said, recounting years of medical interventions including multiple ‘flushing’ procedures, a fibroid surgery in 2002, and several failed rounds of IVF. One of the most heartbreaking moments came in 2019 when she lost a set of triplets five months into her pregnancy due to complications.

Despite the setbacks, Pastor Funmilola chose to focus on her calling, continuing her ministry work with unwavering dedication.

“From the beginning, I never backed down from my calling,” she said. “I kept doing what God asked me to do.”
While the pain lingered, her husband remained supportive through it all.

“Thank God for my husband—he’s a born-again Christian,”she said.

“At a point, I told him to take another woman, like Sarah did in the Bible, but he replied, ‘What do you mean? Didn’t I see the village before I married you? I’m not going anywhere.’”
Her breakthrough came in early 2024 after an intense prayer session during the New Year crossover. A woman she had prayed for later told her about a traditional matron known for helping women conceive. Initially hesitant, Pastor Funmilola eventually visited the matron, who administered a herbal treatment regimen.

The results came swiftly.

“Before intimacy with my husband, the medicine had already activated ovulation. Within two weeks, I began to feel different,”she explained.

On March 12, 2025, her prayers were answered when she delivered a set of healthy twins.

Reflecting on her journey, Pastor Funmilola offered a message of hope:

Quote

“I’ve never seen anywhere in the Bible that a woman must have children to enter heaven. That truth gave me peace. But now, God has smiled on me.”
Her story has since inspired many online, as Nigerians celebrate not just the birth of her children, but the endurance and faith that brought them into the world.
