The Minister of State for Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, has called on Nigerian youths to exercise patience and diligence as they work toward personal and national progress. He appealed during a retirement dinner held in honor of Hajiya Walida Isa, the Director of Corps Mobilisation at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Friday in Abuja.

Praising the retiring director, Olawande highlighted her courage, boldness, and steadfastness throughout her service. He urged young people to follow her example and remain focused, emphasizing that success is a process that requires time and effort.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s a process, and that’s what we are seeing today. We are here to celebrate her contributions, and as youths, we should strive to be bold, diligent, and factual in our work so that we too can be remembered for our good deeds,” Olawande said.

He encouraged the youth to contribute meaningfully to the nation, no matter their role, and to aim for excellence in all they do.
