Popular Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has responded to bribery allegations made by social media activist VeryDarkMan, who claimed that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to avoid serving his full prison term. The controversy erupted when VeryDarkMan released a voice recording, alleging that Bobrisky’s godfather had arranged a special apartment outside the prison where he supposedly spent his sentence.

In the recording, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky, real name Idris Okuneye, managed to avoid actual jail time through connections and financial influence, sparking outrage among fans and followers online. The activist claimed Bobrisky had manipulated the justice system and shared additional confessions from a leaked call involving the crossdresser.

However, Bobrisky has since refuted these claims, calling them baseless and untrue. In a statement released on his social media platforms, Bobrisky denied bribing any EFCC officials or evading his sentence. “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC N15 million, and that I was never in prison. It is a very big lie. I served my term in full,” he said, urging his followers to discard any false information.

Bobrisky’s rebuttal has intensified online discussions, with many awaiting further developments and proof from both sides. Despite VeryDarkMan’s continued efforts to provide more evidence, Bobrisky remains firm in his defense, maintaining that he served his full sentence and never paid to escape the consequences of his actions.

As the controversy unfolds, both parties have garnered significant attention on social media, with many divided over the veracity of the allegations.
