The Federal Government has delivered 12,367 bags of rice to the Sokoto State government as part of its soothing program to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal. Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and President Bola Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari, made the handover.

Bagudu emphasized that the initiative is part of President Tinubu’s efforts to support states during these difficult times. He also highlighted previous distributions of fertilizers, grains, and other essential items. The current economic difficulties, Bagudu noted, stem from global factors such as conflicts and climate change.

Masari called on Nigerians to support the government’s long-term strategies, ensuring that the challenges faced today will lead to better socioeconomic conditions in the future.
