Renowned Nollywood actor and movie producer Chris Bassey has made a surprising career switch after relocating to Canada, leaving his life in the Nigerian entertainment industry behind to become a plumber. During an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze, Bassey shared that his new trade in construction offers better financial stability and a more laid-back lifestyle than tech jobs.
When asked about his transition by the curious host, Bassey explained that despite his fame, plumbing has allowed him to enjoy a comfortable life in Canada, far beyond what many in the tech industry can afford. He remarked: “The places I’ve visited here in Canada just on weekends, even those in tech can’t afford them. Life is different here.”
