Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL), has lost his 25-year-old daughter, Fatima. While details surrounding her death remain unclear, reports confirm that she passed away on Friday.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima extended his condolences to Kyari and his family, offering prayers for Fatima’s peaceful repose. He also asked for God’s strength to help the family bear the painful loss of their daughter.
Shettima led mourners at the funeral prayer, which took place at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.
