Nigerian Afrobeats star, Patrick Okorie, known by his stage name “Patoranking”, is grieving the heartbreaking loss of his younger sister, Chioma, and her husband, George, who tragically died in a gas explosion. The incident, which occurred in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, left the couple’s 3-year-old son orphaned.

The devastating explosion reportedly took place in their home, reducing the building to rubble and claiming the lives of Chioma and George on the spot. Emergency responders arrived too late to save the couple, leaving the family and the community in deep shock and sorrow.

Patoranking, who has often been vocal about the importance of family, has yet to issue a public statement but sources close to the singer have confirmed that he is deeply shaken by the sudden and tragic loss.

Friends, fans, and fellow celebrities have begun to send condolences, expressing their support for Patoranking and his family during this incredibly difficult time. The couple’s young son, now left without his parents, has been taken in by relatives as the family begins to make burial arrangements for Chioma and George.

The explosion has sparked concerns about safety regulations in residential areas, with local authorities investigating the cause of the blast, though early reports suggest it may have been due to a faulty gas cylinder.

The tragedy has thrown a dark cloud over what should have been a period of joy for the family, and the nation mourns with the singer as he navigates this painful period.
