The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Abimbola Hundeyin, received the Touch of Unity for the 22nd National Sports Festival to be held in Ogun State.
Speaking at the reception held at the governor’s office for the presentation of the Touch of Unity, the governor emphasised the positive role and influence of sports in promoting peace and unity, which is also demonstrated in the movement of the Touch of Unity across the states of Nigeria. He also used the avenue to wish the Team Lagos athletes, led by the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu, success in their various sporting competitions at the forthcoming National Sports Festival.
Meanwhile, the Director General, Mr. Fatodu, in his earlier post on his social media platform, has said that the Lagos Governor has added touch of excellence to the touch of unity.
“When the Touch of Unity of the 22nd National Sports Festival arrived in Lagos and got sufficiently touched by Excellence of Lagos being advanced by Governor Sanwo-Olu”, Fatodu wrote on his IG page
