Veteran Nollywood actor, Ayobami Olabiyi, fondly known as ‘Bobo B,’ has passed away. The actor reportedly died on Wednesday, October 16, in Ibadan, Oyo State, after battling an illness that required him to be admitted to the University College Hospital (UCH).

The sad news was confirmed by the Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bose Akinola, in a statement released late Wednesday.

In the statement, Akinola said, “We announce the death of our TAMPAN National General Secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi ‘Bobo B.’ May God give entire TAMPAN members globally and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Olabiyi was a respected figure in the Nollywood industry and served as the TAMPAN National General Secretary. His contribution to the Nigerian film industry and his leadership within TAMPAN left a lasting impact on both colleagues and fans alike.

May his soul rest in peace.
